The Stern
The stern is the back or aft part of a vessel. The stern area is the
location of the rudder, tiller, ship's wheel, etc. The stern
historically has been the domain of the ship's captain and officers.
During the age of sail, the stern was the most luxurious part of the
ship, with rows of windows, galleries, walkways, and elaborately carved
decorations.
Luxury sailing yachts provide a timeless experience, which takes you
back a hundred
years. The modern day sailing yacht is well over 100 feet long, and with
its sails unfurled is a breathtaking sight of beauty and power. Once you
board a luxury sailing vessel, you may feel as if you've stepped back in
time, but without sacrificing any comforts or quality afforded by the
modern world, including fine china, state-of-the-art sound systems, and
the finest crystal with luxury linens.
